5th World Youth Congress, Istanbul, Turkey: 31st Jul - 12th Aug 2010

 

The 5th World Youth Congresses on Youth and Development will be held in Istanbul, Turkiye in 2010. Turkiye will welcome 1000 young people from around the world to meet during Istanbul's year as the European Capital of Culture.

 

In the biggest international youth event which will take between the dates 31st July and 13th August, young generation will decide, train, perform, discover, volunteer, present and represent. WYC 2010 is waiting every young activist, journalist, educator, artist, observer, delegate between the ages 18-30, to share, to get involve into this biggest “imece” action in 2010 to show the power of our dreams to the world.

 

The programme is being devised by a carefully selected International Youth Advisory Board representing all regions of the world and chaired by Joao Scarpelini, veteran of 3 World Youth Congresses. The Congress is presented by Peace Child International, one of teh world's largest networks of youth-led organisations in consultative status with United Nations, in partnership with E-Genclik Association of Bursa, Turkiye. Both are working closely with the Ministry of Education of the government of the Republic of Turkiye which is under-writing the cost of the Congress.
