2nd SAARC Scout Friendship Camp
17 - 21 October, 2012
The Pakistan Boy Scouts Association organized the 2nd SAARC Scout Friendship Camp at Islamabad, Pakistan from 17th - 21st October 2012. The following six Rovers and an Escort Leader participated in the camp.

Around 350 Rover Scouts from Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka camped on 17 - 21 October 2012 in Islamabad, Pakistan under the sponsorship of Messengers of Peace.
Participants carried out a series of activities that were friendship-centered including cultural exhibits, treasure hund, youth forum and visit to educational places. They displayed artififacts featuring different cultures, and a peace song was rendered at the campfire.
Considered to be the most interesting activity was the youth parliament where young people exchanged their ideas based on the camp theme. Common issues of young people in the South Asian region were discussed and participants identified their roles to address them.
Prior to the Camp, on 17th October, was the meeting of Chief Commissioners of Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka as part of their annual gathering. Mr. Chencho Dorji, Chief Commissioner from Bhutan Scouts Association attended the meeting.
